ASL (American Sign Language)
This was a pilot project attempting to recreate certain hand gestures from ASL to help the robots communicate with the children. Below are a few of the robot behaviors, which were all experimental.
Description: NAO says "What is your mom's name?" and mimics the American Sign Language for the word "mom."

Description: NAO says "What is your dad's name?" and uses the American Sign Language for the word "dad."
